Collaborating with the Best in Lighting Design: Pilot Program

We are all about being at the forefront of streamlining the lighting specification process, so we have created the industry's first Pilot Program to enhance collaboration with manufacturers and agents around product coordination and information. This transformative program aims to collect feedback and revolutionize the way design professionals collaborate, communicate, and share information. Thirty of the industry's most prominent firms have joined this collaborative effort, setting a new precedent for the entire sector.

"We're on the cusp of a new era in lighting design, where efficiency meets innovation. The Pilot Program is paving the way to that," said Paul Boken, Co-founder of Sourcery. "These firms represent the best of the best, and their involvement is pivotal to our platform's evolution."

Pilot Program Structure:

The program includes weekly office hours, creating a collaborative environment for open dialogue and collecting feedback. These sessions will allow for meaningful exchanges between participants from North America and Europe, reflecting the program's global reach.

Here's what we're working on based on their top requests:

  • An easier & faster user interface
  • Revit integration
  • PDF tools to create cut sheet packages
  • AI tools to find products and help with crowdsourcing pricing information

Preparation for Participants:

Prior to the official kickoff, participants are trained, and the Sourcery team helps firms build databases of products and verify with manufacturers. We are even engaging with agents to provide pricing in these collections with some users!

"Through the pilot, we will identify best practices, address challenges, and refine our platform to best serve the lighting design community," Paul Boken continued. "It's about empowering the professionals who make product decisions easier, more calculated, and more curated. We feel this will make navigating the complex product marketplace more achievable."

Participants will also have the chance to connect in person at shows with some planned in-person workshops at Archlight, where Sourcery will be extending a warm welcome to some in-person collaboration!
